Notice is hereby given that the Assessor of the Town of Lyme County of Jefferson, has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year; that a copy thereof has been left with the Town Clerk at 12175 NYS Rt 12E, Chaumont, NY 13622 where it may be seen and examined by any person interested therein during the hours and date following: May 6, 12, and 13 between 10am and 2pm, May 16 between the hours of 4pm and 8pm by appointment only. On “FOURTH TUESDAY OF MAY NEXT,” The Board of Assessment Review will meet between the hours of 12:30pm and 3:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at 12175 NYS Rt 12E, Chaumont, NY 13622 to hear and examine all complaints in relation to such assessments, on the application of any person believing himself aggrieved hereby. The Town of Lyme Water Districts Annual Quality Water Reports for the year 2025 has been finalized.  This report contains information regarding drinking water.  The report will be posted on the town’s website, www.townoflyme.com and copies are available in the Town of Lyme Office, 12175 NYS Route 12E Chaumont, NY 13622 during regular business hours.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a proposed Local Law has been introduced before the Town Board of the Town of Lyme, Jefferson County, New York, to amend the Zoning Law for Quarry/Heavy Industry Operations.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a public hearing on said proposed Local Law will be held at the Town Offices, 12175 NYS Route 12E, Chaumont, New York, on May 13, 2026, at 6:15 p.m.

At such time and place, all persons interested in the proposed legislation will be given an opportunity to be heard.

The Town of Lyme is Hiring for Part-Time Summer Recreation Position

The Town of Lyme is looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our Summer Recreation Program team. This seasonal program runs Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., July through August.

We are currently hiring for the following part-time positions:

• Recreation Assistant

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and supervision of program participants
• Engage children through educational and recreational activities
• Collaborate with team members to create a fun and positive environment

Additional job requirements and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

The Town of Lyme Board, along with St. Lawrence Engineering and the USDA, will host a project meeting regarding the new Town of Lyme Highway Garage on Friday, April 10th at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will take place at the Town of Lyme Office, located at 12175 NY-12E in Chaumont, NY 13622.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Lyme is accepting sealed bids from qualified individuals or companies to provide cleaning services for the restroom facilities located at Veteran’s Park, 12200 NYS Route 12E, Chaumont, New York 13622.

Services shall include cleaning of the restroom facilities twice per week from May 1, 2026, through September 30, 2026, as well as additional cleanings following any scheduled events.

Sealed bids must be submitted to the Town of Lyme Clerk, PO Box 66, Chaumont, New York 13622, or delivered in person to the Town Office, 12175 NYS Route 12E, Chaumont, New York 13622.

Please submit bids by April 6, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Bids will be publicly opened at the Town of Lyme Town Board meeting on April 9, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.

The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The successful bidder will be required to provide proof of insurance prior to award and a completed W-9.
