REQUEST FOR SEALED BIDS

The Town of Lyme is accepting sealed bids for a two-year contract (2026–2027) for the opening and closing of full graves and cremains burials at Three Mile Bay and Cedar Grove Cemeteries. Most burials take place between May and October on an as-needed basis, and the successful bidder must be available on weekends.

All prospective bidders are required to contact Cemetery Superintendent Heather Lipczynski at (315) 777-5442 prior to submitting a bid. The awarded contractor must provide their own equipment, as well as proof of liability and workers’ compensation insurance.

Sealed bids will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on June 9, 2026. Submissions may be mailed to the Town Clerk’s Office, PO Box 66, Chaumont, NY 13622, or delivered in person to the Town Offices at 12175 NYS Route 12E, Chaumont, NY 13622.

Bids will be reviewed and awards considered during the Regular Town Board Meeting on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. The Town Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
